My son Derek is 8. He is obsessed with sports. For his 15 minutes a day reading assignments he reads football cards. At breakfast he is usually reading one of his favorite Scholastic book 2017 Year in Sports. He reads these books over and over again. Football Superstars and Baseball Superstars are two other favorites where Derek learned how to read names like Ben Roethlisberger and Russell Wilson in the first grade. Derek used to love all kinds of Rescue Bots and Imaginext toys but these days it’s just sports. He wants sports equipment, sports clothes and sports themed toys. Derek has been so good this year, he tries hard to excel at everything he does, his heart is the kindest one I’ve ever come into contact with and I just want him to feel the excitement of Christmas morning filled with presents!
