Hello Friday!! It’s been a super week for my family. The summer break from school is quickly approaching and the pool at Life Time Athletic has been open for two weeks now. Baseball is winding down and tournament baseball is just about to start. Hayley is going to graduate from preschool and we made our final payment to a daycare!! Can we all do a collective HOORAY!!!!! Here in New Jersey paying for 2 kids in daycare is more than most people pay for their mortgage each month, oh wait…..It WAS more than we paid for our mortgage each month. Rob swears he will now buy a Maserati, but I think that money will just go to other things like tournament baseball, travel soccer uniforms (because of course my kid wants the extra pants and hoodie) and dancing school in the fall. Basically daycare is being replaced with activities fees and I am now running around more and more after work and have no idea what it feels like to go home after work, take off my shoes and relax on the couch. There will be time to rest when I am dead so for now, I am all in!!

And this weekend, my husband and I will be going away for a night without the kids. First time ever!!!

I’m already looking forward to the fall when Evelyn is in school 5 days a week (well, mornings). I’m also knocking on every piece of wood I can find that she keeps her 3 hour nap in the afternoon! I have accepted the fact that I too will just be shuttling the girls around from 4pm on, but so thankful for smartphones to keep things exciting! 🙂
