Summertime is such a fun time of year. Everyone is out and about. The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. Kids are running, biking, swimming, scooting and laughter from my backyard seeps through the windows. Summertime is my favorite time of year for making extra special memories. I love to spend hours at our swim club where both kids spend the day diving, jumping, flipping and soaking up the sun. I also love to get photos of everything and I mean EVERYTHING! I am constantly snapping pictures of the kids.
If you’ve read my blog before you know I love photos and I am obsessed with taking photos and sharing them Instagram. You also know that I love doing good. I love rallying for a good cause, spreading the good word and helping share information on how all of you can help! Well, today is no different BUT I can tell you how two of my favorite things are colliding. Doing Good and Sharing Photos!!
Have you heard of Donate A Photo?
Donate a photo is the free app (available on Android and iOS devices) from Johnson & Johnson that takes your photos and makes them a way to do good. For every photo uploaded through the Donate a Photo app, Johnson & Johnson donates $1 to one of our non-profit partners chosenfrom a rotating list of causes.
Through Donate a Photo you can help make a difference every day in 3 easy steps.
- Choose the cause you want to support
- Upload a picture (either from you camera roll or take one on the spot)
- Share your photo to the Donate a Photo gallery. You can also share to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to help spread the word and get your friends and family to donate as well!
It takes about 5 minutes to download the app and create an account and you can donate your photo in under a minute a day. The app also lets you see and share the impact of y our actions so you know what each photo and the dollar it triggers does.

Summer is a special time of year filled with travel to exciting new places, time with family and friends and of course, tons of fun, beautiful and inspiring pics.
What if we could take those summer photos and make them a way to do good? How about helping me do just that by sharing them through Donate a Photo.
From July 13th – 31st Johnson & Johnson is offering the challenge to donate one summer photo a day to help great causes like healing children’s smiles, protecting kids from bullying and many more. Also use the hashtag #SummerOfGood and be sure to share your fun summer photos.
I have already started the challenge
