My mother has always said “If you need something done ask a busy person” and as I have gotten older, started a family, work full-time outside of the home and become a volunteer for multiple causes….these words have really resonated with me. It’s not that I necessarily have the “free time” to take on more responsibilities, it’s that I believe, inside my heart, that we all are responsible for the course of the world, our futures and our present lives. By finding a causes I believe in and volunteering, I am able to make a small difference. Now think about if everyone found one cause that they took action on, think about how much better our world would be. We would all be a little bit more giving and kind if we would just do a bit more for our neighbors, community and world!

As a mother I hope to lead my example; since I believe volunteering is an important part of life I hope to raise my children to not become “busy” people but to become productive and giving people.
Today I have joined with Jessica at Eat.Sleep.Be to co-host her Thoughtful Thursday Link-Up. Please join us this Thursday, and every Thursday, by linking up a thoughtful post! Be sure to show some love to some other bloggers linking up their thought posts and I hope you enjoy!!

So true!! I don’t have a post but our parish youth group just collected items and delivered to Tent City in Camden. Feels good to hep those in need. <3
Oh I drive by Tent City every day on my way to work. It makes me so sad to see people have to live like that

Thanks for sharing. I love the idea of Thoughtful Thursday!
I’m terrible at volunteering! If it were just a matter of finding time, I could manage but right now car access and funds for donating are just not there either. I hope in another season because you are so right 🙂
